nice banjo ! I was wondering does riley make banjos? or did you get one of his? I have a cd that he plays on with polecat creek and boy is he good. I have not had the chance to see him yet but I plan to soon. He had written that he started playing at age 10 with a banjo he and his father built , could it be the one you have? please tell me any info you might have. thank you for sharing your phtos. banjo bode

Riley made banjos for a couple of years (this one is number 22), but after the Cold Mountain project he began playing at more festivals and other venues, and hasn't had the time. I'm not sure if he plans to go back to building banjos in the future. I hope he does because he has a good touch - the banjos are all different, but they are all great.
