Born in Fort Payne, Alabama in 1970. Lived in Scottsboro most of my life graduated in 1988. I have always loved music, started young listening to dads old 45's of old groups like the Platters and others of that era. When I hit my early teens I listened to a little country mostly Alabama and anyone one that performed at the first four June Jams. When I hit 17 to 22, I listened to real hard metal music. Around 1992 I think, I started to settle down, go to church and get a real life. I met my wife Anita in 93, we wed in 1994. She introduced me to some bluegrass gospel. I started picking at her mothers mandolin and 2005 bought a cheap banjo just to see if I would like it. Fell in love with it, and for 3 1/2 years I've been trying off and on (mostly off honestly) when time would permitt. The past couple of weeks I've set more things aside and have made more time to practice. And will take any kind of encouraging words and insight. I still live in Scottsboro with my wife and little girl.
