JUST got my banjo back from Chris Cioffi. Man what a WONDER he did on this banjo. Jeff & I colored it and Lacquered it. It looked OK. had a bit of orange peel but acceptable to me. But I sent it off before it dried enough. It stuck to the packing material. Chris buffed it out and it looks great. Of course after he had fixed a laundry list of fixables. Like: new neck cut (reset), plug & reinstall neck lugs, check fit of flange & ring, plane & re-fret, move pip & fill old hole, re-spike and the buff job.
I'm impressed. If you need work send it to him. Quick too (right now). I think you'll hear more from him as time goes along.
