It still surprises me that to learn to do something like play the banjo, it's largely a matter of doing it badly until you're doing it well, corrective actions notwithstanding. We are simple creatures, I suppose, but at any rate, it's satisfying to see progress come from merely putting fingers to strings.
Progress on Foggy Mountain Breakdown, first break, below. I'm playing it faster than I can really justify, and will slow back down for proper practice :)
