Singing while playing really is a good measure of how well I know how to play a tune. A few days ago, I could play this one reasonably well, but had no chance at all of singing at the same time - it all just fell apart when I tried. I persevered, though, and after a few days of practice, I can make an attempt at doing it. As always, practice, practice.
But yeah, it's interesting to find those means of measuring progress. First, can I play the thing at all, then, can I sing at the same time. After that? Maybe "can I have a conversation with someone while playing?"
This tune is coming much more comfortably now, but still needs some thought in places. I'll keep at it until it's just intuitive.
So, the video for this one is in the bathroom (not quite so scenic), and I'm using a banjo mute, which very much diminishes the volume, and changes sound character a little. Useful thing to have when playing late at night :P
