I've played all manner of guitar since about 1964, and played the banjo (mostly Scruggs style with some frailing) for about 10 years from 1970 - 1980. Once I joined a bluegrass gospel band in late 2006, I started thinking of renewing my interest in the banjo. It didn't take long, and I jumped in with both feet - found a good local deal on a new old stock Gibson RB-250, and I'm off and pickin' again. Then in early 2008 I got a Sullivan Greenbrier - never could get it to sound like I wanted, and then I found my Gibson Blackjack. Wow, I really like this! I can't seem to get this silly grin off my face . . . Oh, and "AC5AA" is my ham radio call letters.
