Just finished putting the new Five Star head, Hatfield compensated bridge, and set of D'adarrio J-55 strings on my Deering Deluxe. It turned out great and was not a difficult project at all. There is now approximately 3/16's of an inch from the top of the tension hoop to the top of the head all the way around. Rather than the unevenness that was there before. The old head looked to be quite stretched out. As well as having some areas around the bottom where it appeared to be pulling loose. I'm sure I will have to check and tighten the new head some over the next few days as it stretches in.The difference in the before and after sound is amazing. I need to get a recorder of some kind so I will be able to record and post audio to the BHO. Well that's all for now, gonna pick some more.
Keep on PIckin!!!
