Just testing the water, to get an idea on number's. How many of you folk's would be up for a UK5 Banjo day in the not so distant future ? I have already thought of a decent venue, and the format would be :-
Beginner's Workshop.
Slow Jam.
Advanced Workshop.

Yes. We did discuss this on the Facebook group too. I had a venue in mind near here in Hinckley, but time has run away with us so far!

Sorry Simon, i dont do Facebook mate. The last UK5 meeting was a couple of year's ago, and was a great day. I have just posted this as a gauge to see how many people would be interested, and if there is enough genuine interest, i will get the wheel's in motion.

Sound's good so far. I have sent you a PM Joe :) Ivor Leed's is just up the Line from us £14.00 return, but it's a lot cheaper if you get on at Huddersfield, nudge, nudge (if you know what i mean:-)

I think I would be a little geographically removed not to mention incapacitated at the moment after surgery..but it sure a s hell sounds like a good idea and would love to meet up at some point in the future....I'm in England a lot and maybe some day could incorporate something like this into my itinerary....Please keep me posted of any future advancements...atb C

It's booked for the 14th of March. We have the room all day, and evening (if you wanna stay jamming) I have also booked Potato Pie for 30 people. I will keep everyone posted :)

The cost will be minamal, just the Buffet, and anything we get charged for the room, but i doubt he will charge for that, so a tenner at the most, more likely to be just the Buffet at £3.50 a head
