Geoff has a great reputation established over a very long period of time. I hope you have contacted him personally about this before going public with it. He is very accessible.
Sometimes things happen but Geoff's character is not a variable.
As for me, I would not hesitate to order parts!!!

I remember waiting on a delivery from Stelling. Geoff was very helpful and sent me a new truss rod free of charge. But, when you're waiting for delivery of a Stelling, there gonna be some drooling going on. My wife made me carry a rag and a bucket. :o)

i was hoping we would be as helpful to ma as he is to ever one els but, he told me there is noting he can do! i mean you spend big money on a banjo ever 1 should get the same treatment! but what do i know!

he shiped it priority mail! he said there is no way to trak it, i have been shipping priority mail for years now and ever package has a traking number! i feel like he didnt want to take the time to deal with me!....but thats ok!!!from now on my money will go to the man that wants to deal with me!

Banjogirl1980, Whereas we send most of our products by USPS Priority mail, they don't always make delivery within 3 days. There are no tracking numbers for Priority Mail. As far as heads go, the 5 Star Stew-Mac head is made by Ludwig and is the same head we sell with no logo. Remos have a tendency to break along the glue line and scratch very easily. They also sound different. The Ludwig will give you full spectrum sound whereas the Remo will stifle the mid and high range notes.
You are as important to me as any customer. I regret that the mail service is not as reliable as we are.

I don't think you'll regret waiting on the Ludwig especially if you were happy with the sound before the head broke. it seems to me the Remo is quite different.
I also agree with Banjobyron's comments, Geoff is great to deal with and I really appreciate his input here on BHO.

Geoffs banjo recipe is by far the best and thats why i am sticking to what he uses. i dont wana go with a 5star or remo becouse it will not have the sound i like!
