Hello,
I'm a young American arriving on July 2nd, 2016 in Wellington, New Zealand. I'll stay for one year under the Work & Travel Visa, and hope to get employment or at least volunteer experience working outdoors, especially in something with conservation, or alternative agriculture. Right now my big hope is to get involved with an eco farm project doing Community Supported Agriculture in the Wairarapa region.
Aside from that, I've been learning clawhammer banjo for a few years, aim to keep playing for a very long time, and would have everything I needed to be happy while in New Zealand if I can find people who play or at least know the banjo so I can play with them. I've gotten the basics down, can play several songs fairly well that I memorized from tablature and audio/video tutorials, know my chords, and can improvise on my own without stressing out about it anymore, but I still have very little experience playing with others. I'd like to change that.
If anyobdy might have any time to meet up and play in Wellington during this coming month of July, or if anybody wants to contact me for the whole year following this July, please, feel free.
