Here's an ongoing and contentious attempt to stratify banjo levels, terminology and costings, (with ecxh. rate 0.8 & gst at 15% heh !, heh!). Can the Chinese even with American know how produce an elite level banjo, would the Americans even if they could wish to produce a beginner level banjo. Where have the Clawhammer guys gone, would a "true" bluegrass banjo have anything other than a maple rim, oh yes it would ... oh no it wouldn't. Doh !.

Wish I had downloaded it when I first read it, very useful, nonjudgemental and as you intimate, now VERY interesting.....PUT IT BACK and leave Bigfoot alone.....noone wants to see Him with an angry banjo!
