I purchased this new in the 70’s. Sold it to a friend in the 80’s (a moment of insanity??) then bought it back 20 years later. This has been my mainstream guitar especially when playing with the Wellington based bluegrass band ‘Dixie Lix’ for 11 years.
Condition is fair with some dings and scratches. In 2010 Zettwitz in Auckland reset the neck as well as reprofiled and refretted the fingerboard.
In 2013 Simca Delft of Wellington lowered the action so I could play both bluegrass and finger picking.
This comes with its original blue fibreglass case, an IMT 600 tuner, Shubb & Paige capos, leather strap and 6 sets of unopened Martin strings.
My reason for selling it? I have completely quit music for other interests and won’t be going back to it.
This guitar has been a really great working guitar and musical companion (excuse me if I gush!), but it is time to pass it on.
I am asking $3200.00
