hello all, I have been having the best time researching old timey folk songs, mainly those of Appalachian heritage my partner reminded me of New Zealands own history and we wondered if there any recorded NZ banjo players or songs of the gold mining times? my great grandfather played banjo yet no one remembers what songs he played nor his style, but i guess pre bluegrass.... have any of the old timers here come across any tunes specific to NZ heritage>?
