Yes, bluegrass is alive and well in Hamilton, thanks to Paul Trenwith of Hamilton County Bluegrass fame and his team. The Hamilton Backporch Bluegrass club meets each 3rd Friday of the month at the Silverdale Normal School in Silverdale Road, Hamilton, at 3:30pm. Sessions comprise of an Intro by Paul himself, followed by a whiteboard concert, followed by the guest artist(s) for the month, ending with a jam session if time permits. Solo performers are able to be accompanied by Paul and his band if you so wish, and non-performers (spectators) are made to feel most welcome.
