After a bad experience and emails and phone calls back and forth, we came to the conclusion that I was not given the service that the company desires to give every person that enters thier shop.

We have resolved my complaint and we are all buddy's now. I look forward to revisting as a welcomed customer. And who knows I may even do a free workshop on Banjo do's and don'ts for the local banjo community.

	banjonz says: 1/13/2020 8:51:17 PM The Rock Shops only usually have only a token banjo if that and no one who works in their stores knows anything about the instrument. Having said that, I believe (it was a while ago) the Wellington RS have selection of Deering banjos but again, they don't know anything them. What you should do is get a banjo (not from them), stand outside their store, detune it and play badly and loudly while exclaiming this banjo came from inside. (Maybe not!!) Can you talk to the manager about the staff member or perhaps it was the manager you were talking to. This type of behaviour is not one. If they have a FB page you could post the complaint there?

I live in Napier and play the banjo (all be it not that well) I have been a regular visitor to the Rockshop, admiring their display of instruments and picking on their lone display banjo. I have to say I have never found them anything but welcoming and friendly.

They had a banjo maker in their shop with over 10 years experience and they made me feel like I was a street rat. So sad. You can tell them because I will make sure when I come home I will revisit them and let them know myself. I will still offer my services to setup the banjos because I want everybody to experience a banjo that sounds the best it can. If you yourself wanted any banjo help or have questions I am happy to assist when I'm back.
