Feel free to delete me lol Actually I offer this service to my customers and they get to sit with me while I do it, Every thing is explained so you can understand more and make your own adjustments in the future. Sometimes I will need to redo the heel fitment or machine the tonering fit and some faces are freaked out. They really love seeing the strip down and setup. Also they get more in touch with their banjos. To my knowledge I am the only one offering this open workshop experience. They also feel that they got value for money when I hand them the bill. My advice to anybody trying this, Do not over tighten anything and crush wood or bend components and you will be fine. Also measure everything before starting so if you don't like your results you can put it back to where it was. Eg tailpiece height and tension, Hook nut measurement, tension hoop height above head. Don't force the rim rods to fix action on dual rod systems or any block rim and 5/8th thick rims. You can do that on lower spec aluminum and single rod banjos. Don't be afraid there is always Steve to help you put it back together :)
