I have the Goldtone OT6 "Lo-Jo". Getting time to change the strings. I have two questions: Does anyone know what gauge strings are originally installed (light, medium light, Medium) on the OT6,.... and anyone know where I can find a new set of strings for the Lo-Jo?

Banjo-Man-Dan is correct according to the website: goldtone.com/products/details/...oand%2334 I have experimented around with heavier strings, up .046w which is a guitar "A" strng, and the heavier ones work fine for me. A the string gauge increases, the string becomes stiffer and louder. I order the extra string from Elderly Instruments, but I think they are easy to get. If you call Gold Tone, I am sure they would send you a string.

You could buy whatever your regular banjo set is, and simply add a string. The cello banjo set is probably not the right set since the strings are wound, and designed to sound an octave low.
