I just recently bought an ML-1. These are my impressions.
1. It was not well set up. The fault of the distributor.
2. I like the lower register. Open C.
3. It has a LOT of sustain resulting in a tremendous amount of pick noise that so far I have not been able to correct. If anyone has found a fix for this please let me know.
4. The fit and finish are good. It is a good looking banjo.
