Thanks!
Nice to see the Whole Slam Family all smiling at the camera.
When we bought this place, we had NO IDEA that it was on the MAIN parade route through the Village Of!
Kind of nice to be able to sit at the end of our driveway (OR on the porch, if it's rainish), and watch all the fun.
Near the end, a local LARGE farm has a couple machines almost as large as a 2-car garage come by. An impressive sight, to a small-town boy whose memories of farm machinery are mostly medium-size tractors.
Happy 4th of July to all our American friends!

Happy 4th of July to y'all and everyone. I am so unbelievable fortunate to live in this country. I was thinking about those stiff necked boys 250 years ago signing that paper and I wondered: They could have had no idea what actions they put in motion and how much of a ruckus they would be causing for this long. Thanks! & GBA.

Well done Chuck!
Happy 4th and 250th to all my American friends! Here are some of my favorite quotes from 200 years ago by Calvin Coolidge.
"About the Declaration there is a finality that is exceedingly restful. If all men are created equal, that is final. If they are endowed with inalienable rights, that is final. If governments derive their just powers from the consent of the governed, that is final. No advance, no progress can be made beyond these propositions."
We live in interesting times, to say the least. Though it all I remain proud. We old folks are tough on the younger generations, and it’s not their fault their lack of history knowledge. I am especially proud how USA armed forces are once again filling recruiting quotas-with our youth! Please share your appreciation of our young recruits, as we do our veterans several times a year. yeah back 35 years ago our place was real nice too ,,thats when it was the center of the neighborhood... when we had horses ,, anyone that had horses would meet here ,, our barn was a social gathering place for 4 or 5 years. many trail rides started from here and we were showing horses at that time too... but now its run down some and i can't keep it up like before.. just about everything i have to get done i have to pay for and i ain't made of money..... like last sunday evening we had 2 1/2 inches of rain in 45 minutes.... it flooded the culvert under our driveway.. i had to hire a guy to come clean it out and put some new rip rap rock in place.....
