Coincidentally, yesterday I just performed the last rites on what used to be my favorite recliner/rocker. Put the metal into the municipality's scrap metal pile; wood into our camping supply; my lovely and talented assistant salvaged the polyester (?) batting for her stash; most of what was left went to the municipal dump's "burning pile," though I did recycle a small amount privately in my backyard "fire pit."
Fwiw, the replacement chair ... an honest-to-goodness Laz-Y-Boy .... aside from having more leather [in a darker color], it comes in a distant second in a head-to-head comparison to the no-name.
[Too soon oldt, und too late schmart??]
Been quite the paper chase to get all the papers to get it registered..
But..I think...I think..
It should fly now..
Only a few years ago one only needed a bill of sale for a non titled vehicle..
But now one needs the bill of sale notarized..and the old or last current reg...
Which i did not have..
The truck has been idle in disrepair for 3 years now..
But by a stroke of luck.. the former owner..still had the reg in his desk...
We met up n exchanged paper work in front of the notery..
N.
Hopefully all is well with the World... ;0)
..... but, but, but Al .... just remember "they" are "keeping us safe."
.... or should tht be protecting us from ourselves??
Registering my homebuilt trike in 2000 entailed jumping through several unnecessary hoops .... if history teaches us anything I expect several more have been added in the ensuing 1/4 century. [Time apparently flies when you're having fun; it doesn't seem that long ago.]
Glad you were able to get 'er done.
Well it was ...nip n go..today at DMV....
Had 1:pm appointment just got home...
Plates in hand...
One glitch.. not DMV's fault..
DMV..was actually a big help..
As our insurance company..screwed up all our paper work...
Wrong vin #...
DMV...let us stay there. N get it corrected.. (phew)!...
No new appointment needed.. ;0)
Now ^^ would be handy!
[1/2" blade for now as I just broke my 3/4" blade 2 or 3 days ago .... possibly there's somebody closer, but in the past I've had them welded by an outfit in Winnipeg ... 4.5 hours away. No particular project on the go .... have an appointment in Winnipeg in early November ... time will tell .... I guess.]
