I have never eaten ice cream with that combo of toppings.  But, now I have an excuse to fire up my new ice cream maker again, and we have good local roasted cashews on hand, while chocolate syrup (at least) is always on hand.  Brad

Al roasted the trout in his caboose cooker, and I (Liz) did the rest. The fish was seasoned with garlic paste and bbq rub.

Christmas Eve dinner. Potato Artichoke Soup, creamed and immersion blended to smooth, then strained remove fibers. Consumed along with an Oregon Chardonnay. Brad (I forgot to take pic with soup served.  Hey, it's creamy white in a white bowl).

Christmas dinner: Brussels sprouts with bacon, peas, carrots, potatoes (roast, mashed, sweet potatoes, too), squash, buns, roast turkey, dressing (with cranberries and other ingredients) - I was too stuffed for dessert (pie and cherry cheesecake). Also an Inniskilin (Ontario) "autumn Reisling" wine and cranberry-raspberry juice. The Mrs. set out a pre-dinner shrimp ring and baked brie. Enough?

Oh, it's peach pie with almond slivers.

The Mrs. did all the cooking, with the exception of the cherry cheesecake, baked by our daughter (from the Mrs.' recipe).

I was invited over to a friend's home cooking and Scrabble on Christmas Eve.
The cook grew up in Canada eating Tuchet(sp) meat pie like her mother made which they would eat after Midnight Mass.
I'm glad we didn't have to wait for midnight. It was delicious.

More eating and music there this afternoon when we'll be blessed with a visit by our BMAM president and another great cook who also sings and plays guitar.

All about 1 mile from here.
I love how the world comes to Port Clyde. All I have to do is wait for the phone to ring.
I think I might be spoiled.

This morning, I made a breakfast “toad in the hole.” While I wished I had true British bangers, I did use a package of aging raw breakfast sausage links on hand. With no fear, I made it in a cast iron skillet! Brad
