Had to fit the barrel..so one of the previous scope mount holes.. would line up correctly..
Was a pain to do...but successful.?.
Drilled n tapped the rest of the holes..n set the mount..
Cut for the extractor....
Had to cut the forearm to fit....
The fore arm is from a donor stock..
Look in the pics..I need to shape it to fit the receiver part..
N ..I am open to sujestions...
Then I mounted a receiver sight..for the other barrel...
Still half to do the front sight in that barrel...
18" heavy varmint barrel...on the 218 bee..
Oh..a 2.5x8 power scope ..
I got to thinkin last night.. I might look inta a 410 shotgun barrel fer it...
Just night be feasable....
You’re right, I don’t know what I was thinking…
Something comes to mind about that.
I wonder if it would handle a 7.62x25 Tokarev .
It’s a bottleneck case, but it’s fast.
Probably doesn’t do a thing for many of us older farts, because it’s a commie round. Not much in the way American nostalgia going for it.
Ballistics for it are pretty good though.
update...
Front sight came in n is on...
Fixed the zero problum.. :0)
410 gouge barrel came in.. it might just work...
I acquired a 22 marlin stock out of the rubbish..free..
So now have a new steal butt stock..
Much more cumpfy...
The forearm will go on the 410 barrel if it works.
Also I did order some 7.62 nagant brass..
N..heh a..yep..a..single 218 bee case...that was all they had in stock.. :0/
Pics to follow..

moved the bead...
N stained the stock..linseed oil n Casey Birchwood tru-oil stock finish..
Got a bag of 7.62 nagant cases..to play with..
A 32-20 wcf case in the front..for referance..
Igot 2 ideas.. a .308 maximum
Or I might make a25-20 stevens single shot round...the cases should work but are just ah wee bit short in the neck..but close'nuff...
I picked up a 30-06 barrel..to do the .308 max?
Just another project...
A 7.62 nagant rifle...
Stock refinished....
Used a .30 carbine reamer that I made from a m1 throate reamer..
Plus an11/32 chucking reamer..to do the chamber..
M1 carbine dies to do the shell reloading...
Each one of these projects prezents..it's own kinda dilemmas...
In this barrel there's a really hard spot ..that made the machining...
A real buggah...
N it wiped out the32-20 reamer at the rim cutting part...
Bugger....
So...
I had some time today...
Made up 10 rounds of the perfured loads after test loading..for presure...
Turns out I can get 2000fps..with a 115 gr cast gas checked n powder coated bullets...for hunting load..
Backed off to 1900 fps..for every day shooting..
Chronograph worked good...
The first 6 shots let me know I had a minor issue with the reciver sight..
Fixed that...
N last 4 shots got me to zero...
Back to the loading bench.. ;0)
I made this forearm from a piece of 1.25" dowel...
Cheap ..small n..light...
Everything good n solid...
Course with me eyes now..in the bright sun.. i see 3 beads... :0/
Looks like a clover leaf... ..fuzzy one too... :0/
The 85 gr bullet might get up to 2300 to 2400 fps..
All 8n all I am pleased...
Next up.. a 25-20 barrel fer this reciver..
I picked up a 25-06 varmint barrel..for that project.. :0)
fwiw for thos interested...
I have found that a 7.62 x 39 size n decap die works well..
N a 30 carbine seating die with a taper crimp works good..
The 30 carbine size n decap die works for full length resizing if needed..
Top loads may need full length resizing..
But just by backing off a bit neck sizing works fine..
