Hmm... If I keep listening to these I'll probably have to buy the book... and I already have more books than I will ever have enough time to learn.... but then my ancestry is Irish and you really can't have too many books... can you? The name sounds familiar. I might already have it ion my wish list...
Anyway...
I really like this tune.

Thank you Nelson. This doesn't swing like other Welsh or Irish hornpipes. I have to laugh... because I can hear that the head needs tightening - I like a looser head for more bass response. It's a lovely buzzy banjo-tambourine sound - "prepared banjo" in the John Cage sense. I must break this one out at my local.

Hmm! Never come across a Welsh hornpipe before - but no reason why not. If I try to learn this, I might mistakenly end up morphng into Scotland the Brave by mistake (which I already play); there is definitely a similarity to it.

Hey tom, that was great! I'm half welsh, that reminded me of a band I saw play in Carmarthenshire years ago called 'Jac y do'. Have you heard of them? Liam
