Both your voice and your banjo playing were wonderful and well-matched.  They sounded good individually and even better together.  Your vocal expressiveness was lovely and perfect for this song.  The timbre and note progression of your banjo beautifully evoked the mood and formed a choice showcase for the voice and lyrics.  Thanks for posting this.

Outrageously fantastic!!!!!!!  Beautiful banjo playing, clean and clear, and uncluttered vocal in a lovely voice that does justice to the poignancy of the song.

Very nice, great clawhammer, and beautiful voice...

Inspires me  to calm my clawhammer style down a little from being so bluegrassy and hard driving. Keep playing.

Hello DebbieLee, Good morning from Alaska. Once again I find myself sitting by the window looking out over the snow on a Sunday morning enjoying listening to one of your songs. Thanks for posting it...my goodness, two whole years ago. Thanks also for your email message a while back. I hope to meet you at a festival one of these years. Perhaps 2011 will be my year to travel to Clifftop. I get to go to Smoky Mountain Banjo Academy this May (!!!) but have to head straight home afterwards. Hoping we may stay in touch, Nancy

Well, I was just listening to 2 Hedy West albums last night...You most certainly do justice to your inspiration. Really fine playing and singing. Lovely expression of mournful emotion...once a mainstay of song, but not heard enough with banjo playing these days (in my opinion).

Your voice fits this music and sounds wonderful. I am still struggling with signing this music as I am not quite sure my vocal style cuts it.
