Wow, trippy. I liked this a lot. How are you playing this? It doesn’t sound like the claw hammer I’m familiar with. Then again I’ve never played in that tuning.

Hey, thanks for the listen and like. I actually recorded this years ago but just posted it, and it's pretty much standard clawing with a little drop thumbing in the B part.

That was cool as can be! I’m digging that tuning...and your ability to navigate through it (and all the other tunings you use). Great job my friend!

Thanks as always Greg. Funny that you mention the tuning as I was even thinking about it when badmajon commented. I listened to it and as usual i pluck the strings 54321 before I start the song. Clearly the 5th string is an e, not a b as I mention in describing the tuning. I figured I would try making the 5th the b, but the source where I found the tuning wasn't clear if it should match the open 2nd string or the 2nd at the 12th fret. Tried them both and although they sound different I liked them both, as well as the incorrect e that I recorded originally. Go figure!

Ha! I didn’t catch that either, and I usually have a “discriminating” ear. I don’t hear the 5th much in clawhammer as a prominent melody note, but as a drone. I would think cranking it up to B would be able all the torque it could stand! ; )

*about*....not “able”. Dadburned auto correct!

Ha, know what you mean about auto correct. It has embarrassed me sometimes. Having a spike at 9 made cranking it up to the high B a lot easier.
