Played banjo from about 10 to 16, decided if I was gonna get a girlfriend, it wasn't going to be as a banjo player (about 1981), switched to heavy rock guitar. Played semi-pro for roughly 30 years, and now the banjo bug has bitten me again. My stepfather (who was a bluegrass nut) asked me to come play for him before he passed away, but by the time I had found a banjo and re-learned a couple of tunes, it was too late. So, in his memory, I'm going to try to get good at this crazy instrument again. R.I.P. Lee Roy (9/9/35 - 2/10/17).
