Thank you Janet! Bill Rogers has noted in the original TOTW topic that this tune is derived/appropriated from the old pipe tune, "The Battle of Waterloo." A quick search on YouTube quickly affirms that. So it pre-dates the American Civil War (Napoleon's defeat at Waterloo occurred in 1815). Ha, maybe it should have been Mace Bell's War of 1812 March (the Battle of New Orleans ended in January 1815)!

Thanks Don. Actually, I'm getting back to the two (and three) finger program after taking a turn onto the clawhammer highway around 1972. Having a lot of fun with it.
