Here is a more recent version of an old standard with Jeff Smith (mandolin, lead vocal), Jered Widman (guitar, harmony vocal), Ellie Hakanson (fiddle, harmony vocal), and Rob Wright (bass). We just recorded it in my living room on a Zoom H2 recorder on 6/28/14. We don't have a band name, and actually have not been able to get together much due to scheduling conflicts, but hopefully we'll have an "official" band (with name, etc) sometime soon.

Laurence - I can delete your comments if you like, though I don't think that Jered is a member of banjo hangout, so he probably won't read the comments. I really am being honest when I say that he is really fun to play with, because he is in general more driving and solid than most other guitarists I've played with over the years. It is effortless to find a groove with him playing rhythm guitar. If you think his playing is a bit busy, I can understand that, but it is solid.

Purely from a listeners POV those guitar punches were rather distracting (my opinion)I can understand where a player might have a different perspective. And it was a live mix so maybe the gtr sounded artificially heavy-handed. Banjo was top notch as usual! Yeah, might be best if you delete these comments, they don't really add anything. Regards, L
