Thanks for putting this one up. I just can't get mine to sound like this; I think I need another couple years working on it.

Great job, I am just starting out and love all the songs, and when I get the chance to hear one played like yours it really makes me want to learn more.

I mean pro. In a good way, as in professional! Here is my greatest complement... I downloaded it.

Funny I learnt this just over two years ago and then stopped playing it. Funny thing only yesterday went through it again. don't ask me why, I just did, and realised I still knew it. Then I saw this post and started playing along to the tune and was able to keep up. Good stuff. couldn't have done that two years ago. Thanks Judy for posting and thanks Miguel for being my friend. Hope you're well on the mend.

Yes - I was lucky to have received this recording from that Clifftop Jam - 5 great players - cannot get much better than this group, for sure.

I am glad to hear this recording. I had been looking for a more melodic clawhammer version than that in Ken Perlman's book. Now I realize he is right to say in his book not to get too carried away with the melody when playing with a fiddle group...and I have a ways to go before I can add all the drop thumbs like Cathy Fink.

Best version of this tune I have heard.
