Well it was nice to take a vacation, but it is good to be back home. Even though it was only a week I really missed playing the guitar and banjo. It's funny when a routine gets broken how it takes a while to get back into it. I've discovered that it takes more practice on the guitar then it does on the banjo. At least for the scales, and the placement of the notes. Anyway am having lots of fun learning it and love the sounds I am getting.Add Comment

I come from a musical family that has played instruments, Banjo, Up-right Bass, Fiddle, Guitar, Mandolin, Harp, and Brass instruments, as well as Clarinet. We all sing or have sang as a family for years, but I am the youngest and only 3 left of 7 kids. I love old-time music, and bluegrass, western and lots more. Am looking forward to learning a lot from this site. I also look forward to playing the banjo on the beach, while watching the ocean waves come in.
