To all my B H O friends,
I would like to clean up the rust that has collected on my hooks and the screw of my tailpiece but am not sure how to go about it. Would I break the head down and and take all the hooks off and the tailpiece screw, or would I do this by taking a couple of hooks at a time? I have never had to do this before but I know that if I leave the rust on there it will eat the hooks and screws up. Also on my tackhead I noticed the tacks where my arm rests has become rusty also. Do I just replace the tacks one at a time?

When doing restoration work I use a product called Evapo-Rust . You can take your metal parts off and soak them in it and the rust just washes off with warm water. You can buy this at your local auto parts store. I buy it at O'Reilly Auto Parts. Maybe this will help.
