This is from the CD which accompanies the book: The Voice of The Heart by Chip Dodd. I recorded this at home. The studio version of this tune is on my CD: Carry On John.

Hello John,
I immediately thought, "that's a new recording of that tune." I really like this alot--I like where the background chords are drifting.
I may even like this one better than the other because you can hear your banjo voice clearer. :)
love,
MaryZ

Wonderful interpretive playing. Very expressive. I am downloading it as I write. So many players don't realize what an expressive instrument the banjo can be. I love this one.

I was digging thru some of my unlooked at banjo tab books and lo and behold there was Carry on John! and the first song in the book was Capshaw!! I'm gonna learn it if it harelips us all. This is one I HAVE to learn! I think it's probably my favorite tune. Thank you!

Beautifully haunting and relaxing, I listen to this one over and over.
The attack on the openinging always sends a exciting shock up my spine.
You and a few others here have inspired me to take up the banjo for my own enjoyment.
Thank you!
