Old Time Irish Song. Wildwood Folk (Jess, D.d., Gary,and me) performing a song that we do at just about every gig. Lead vocals by Gary. This was played on an inexpensive Morgan Monroe banjo (resonator model with brass tone ring). I was wearing picks, but I muted the sound by stuffing the pot with rags.

Hi Dan, I enjoyed listening to Wild Rover. I've always loved the Irish stuff, and the bouhran (spelled right?) is cool. Is that you on the instrumentation using multi-tracking, or do you have different people for each instrument?

I guess I should have included an explanation with the recording. I am part of a band (Wildwood Folk) that plays a lot of Irish, Old-Timey American, and Gospel music, and that was actually all four of us playing at the same time. I am playing the banjo, and my band mates are doing the rest. And yes, that is a bodhran--good ear!
