On our last of three nights at Breakin' Up Winter, I went over to the cabin of Bob Townsend and Steve Overby. Bob is a great fiddle player in the tradition of the Cumberland Plateau, and Steve was at one time his student. Here Bob, of South Pittsburg, Tenn., and I play a tune that probably orginated in southeastern Tennessee. Played in G.

Slightly rare tune, friend. Your version is great with the fiddle. I am surprised to find that my version (learned from Bob Flesher) sounds so different. I'll load it for you to listen.

I would very much like to hear. The tune is commonly played in Chattanooga and the surronding area. There is a Citico Creek in the area. and there is a Chattanooga old-time string band called Citico, which has a CD out.

Another great fiddle banjo duet from Barber and his guest fiddler! I've never heard this tune before, it's very nice. Wonderful job!
