Kirk is playing the Jenkins family's --Oscar Jenkins & H.O's grandfather Frank's-- late 1920s RB-1. He often tunes it as Oscar did: Charlie Poole tuning up 2 frets and then chords as needed. No capo--so that would be an F chord he's playing in this shot. H. O. was fiddling Honeysuckle in C. If you listen to the Camp Creek Boys' Honeysuckle, you can hear Kyle Creed fingerpicking.
