With that slick back hair and Martin guitar, it looks like a young John Perry. But I'm probably wrong. What a damn good photo, Kyle and his side-cocked hat and all.

The guitar player that year was Pete Lissman. Pete was a fixture at the Galax Fiddlers Convention during the 1960s, playing in both traditional bluegrass and old time bands.
