He is beautiful!! I raised have always had an Australian Shepherd....my female died last year and I haven't got another....great dogs!

Thanks, Tina! I've always had them too. He's a very sweet natured dog- he loves everyone. Like a lot of them, he's quite a talker, and I've taught him a lot of tricks, but I've never worked livestock with him... just as well, because he has no bite in him at all.

Mike, I have a great little aussie.  Her name is Sadie and she is super friendly.  A really sweet little gal.

HMMmmmm! Whatever happened to that little dog Bruce named "Shortneck"?  Funny lookin'  but super smart.

 Hi, Bill... Bruce gave Short Neck to a French television porducer who filmed a segment of a series she was doing on the ranch.

I just got a new puppy, too! He looks a lot like Old Sadie, who finally cashed in at age 14. This new little guy really keeps Pancho on his toes.

Hi, Dan…
Pancho lived a good long life. In the end, while his heart was still strong, his old joints gave out, and he was in constant pain. I had to put him down in 2012, after his hips completely gave out. He was almost 15.

I really grieved for the next 18 months, but my brother urged me to pick out a puppy from an excellent litter he was dog-sitting, and reluctantly, I did. Lefty is also an Aussie; while he's not as handsome as Pancho was, he's proven to be an excellent young dog, and very reliable. My bro was right- Left brightened my life considerably once Lefty became a part of it, and I expect many years of happiness with him. My life just ain't right if I don't have a dog!

I'll post a pic of Lefty here when I have a good one.

I mentioned another pup I got in 2009 to my friend Bill, who posted here. I got him when Pancho was still alive, and unfortunately, he took to bulling Pancho, who was too old to defend himself. After almost a year, I found a good home for the pup, who really needed to be a single dog. He's now much happier in his new home than he was here with me.
