I had a couple of guide sticks clamped to the router table, making a V for the rim to ride against, so I couldn't dig too far in. Nevertheless. the bit grabbed the work, and popped the glue joints. Maybe Titebond would have held better. Also, there was a better cutting pattern suggested, for less END-GRAIN joints.
