Hi John, do you think setting the Presto parallel to the drum head is the best way to set up this tail piece? I have heard from some people that you should have it angled down slightly. Just wanted your opinion. Thanks

Its different for every banjo. Some players like the Presto to 'float' way above the tension hoop..much higher than this picture. Some like to crank the crap out of it. I prefer a 'medium' setting that i call 'parallel', as seen in this picture. But this is what i like for my banjo and my set up. Find a place that works for your banjo. But do NOT crank a Preto unduly as it will cause them to break at the bend area under the cover joint.
