Demo of an older banjo, looks like a Buckbee in the style of Dobson. Small (9.5") pot, tuned 5 frets low. Fiddle also tuned low from D tuning.

Cowboy's dream played on a Stewart piccolo banjo. Banjo is tuned up 5 frets above standard D tuning. Fiddle is GDAE, and this D tune is played shifted down one string so that it's in tune with the banjo. Result is that the tune is in the key of G. Played in A. Played at dance tempo...... also posted a 78 version for contrast. Dance tempo is definitely at odds with the lyrics. Washburn tenor-to-5-string conversion.
