It isn't often that I hear someone nail the ""Earl kick " in this tune, but Derek has it down! Take a listen and enjoy. I didn't have the recorder volume just right, so put the sound slider all the way up and listen on headphones if you can.. Thanks Derek and great job..!!

Sammy certainly is among the very best of pickers, and he graciously allowed me to impose on him to record him at Banjothon. I understand that Gene Parker was among his mentors and you can certainly tell so by the tone he gets from a banjo! Thank you Sammy!

I had the honor to get to record Gene for a few min at Banjothon. He has the most solid and sweetest sounding tone that I have ever heard come out of a banjo! BTW, this is unaltered sound, just Gene and the banjo! Thanks to friend Clarence Hall for helping to make this happen. Hope you enjoy him as much as I do..what a talent on the banjo..:)
