One of my favorite tunes. Recorded when I was going through my 'crunchy tubaphone' period. I love to play this one with a fiddler and just 'veg out'... Recorded one hot summer afternoon on an early Fairbanks Electric with a John Gough neck.

Kudos to the late John Hartford on this one. Our string band, Biscuit Creek, usually has it requested when we play. Took awhile to figure out the backup banjo on that one. Taped during a practice session.

Spent one long, hot summer on an artillery range in Ft Hood Texas after returning from vietnam... this tune reminds me of that...
