My friend David Wilfing, on guitar, and I were experimenting with a Guitar Tracks recording program a few years ago. We almost got this one right, so I saved it. The banjo is one I built in 1988, with a Bill Sullivan tone ring, First Quality rim and resonator. It has a bronze flange, which Bill was trying to get rid of at the time, because everyone wanted a pot metal flange. The neck and resonator are maple.
