Here is a clip of Kentucky Thunder from the beginning of the year. The banjo I'm playing is a complete intact ( factory rim & ring ) 1986 Kentucky ( the very last version of the original Gold Stars )

This was a quick recording with my dad while we were messing around with my backup banjo. We got it in a trade with another BHO member. It has a Goldstar GF-85 neck and resonator, but the rim is an old wood rim with a Kulesh big 10 tone ring and the rest are prucha parts. We are still fooling around with the set up. Hope you like it.

Jeremy Stephens taught me this tune while we were sitting around our campsite at Clifftop. We got fooling around with twin banjos one night and recorded it together on a mini disc. I am playing my Prucha parts banjo, and Jeremy is playing an old Paramount.

One more old timey D tune with fiddle and banjo. My dad is on fiddle and I am on banjo. First time we tried it like this together. We play a few tunes late at night once in a while, and this one has a few bumps as we were figuring it out as we went. There are a few more tunes on his BHO page.

Just fooling around. My dad plays the fiddle and I am playing 3 finger banjo. We usually play this in A with the fiddle cross tuned. This was done with the banjo in D while we were just messing around, probably the first and maybe only time.

Another quick recording done while messing around with the Goldstar project banjo. (see Fireball Mail for banjo details). My dad and I had not played this for a long time, and it took a couple tries to get a half decent recording. Hope you like it.
