Written after the Columbia flew apart over Texas. We recorded the tune and it was taken aboard the next shuttle mission and circled the earth more times and faster than a Michael Jackson tune ever did. How you ask? Our mandolin layer is a NASA scientist and knows one of the astronauts who asked to take it aboard.

Steeplechase was written by a dearly departed freind, Charlie Campbell and Bob Yocum, who is currently our fiddle player in the Silver String Band. FYI: The chord riff (Eb, Bb, F, C, G) mimics the old song "Down By the River" when played slowly.

Wish we"d done a better job on this one. It's a good tune otherwise. We heard Dakota Dave Hull and Sean Blackburn do this on an album a few year ago and ofcourse they absolutely nailed it !!
