I am @thatdarnhelcat on Twitter. Pupil of Casey Henry. New to banjo but not to music. Relatively recent (2008) convert to organic music--that is, things you hit, pluck, blow or bow rather than program, although I have been a fluent by-ear pianist pretty much since I was old enough to bang on a keyboard. Among my credits are a five-year stint as a music critic in Philadelphia, a DJ specializing in synthpop (80s and contemporary), and keyboardist for the award-winning Fredericksburg cover band Rex and the Texans in the early 90s with Sean Michael Dargan and Wil Gravatt. Nowadays I'm introducing my legions of followers on social media to alt-country and bluegrass.
