Been forever since I blogged anything here. Keeping busy with work, family, and work for the Kingdom (God's Kingdom that is). Took over bass guitar duties in our Praise and Worship band and that is practice once a week and play on Sunday. In the summer we take it outside to the Big Tent. Still playing guitar (electric, acoustic, slide) and the harmonica (in many styles). I bought recently an Ibanez slim Hollowbody with the Bigby copy (Artcore AFS75T ).
So I am really big into the Gospel Blues and trying to dig into that a lot while still keeping up to what I need to play at church. Did I mention I supervise the sound team at the church? Maybe because the sound team is my two twin teenage boys. Along with church yard maintenance , so that is me or my wife people see on the lawn tractor cutting almost an acre of grass twice per week.
My Banjo playing has not been much. I guess maybe I need some encouragement. I don't know if it is because I miss my mother when I play it or something else holding me back.
I am not much for bluegrass although I do listen to it. It is more the blues banjo or even ragtime banjo I like.
Bye for now
