I play a mix of clawhammer and classic styles. I'm starting to work on Minstrel style as well. Someday I'd like to participate in a trio like the Ossman-Dudley trio - old fashioned mandolin, harp guitar, and jazzy banjo player. The banjo is the first instrument I've seriously tried to play. In addition to needing a lot more practice, I really need to learn more about music theory, composition, scales, chords, and the intellectual side of playing.
