Love the sound of the banjo. My Great Grandfather, Homer Allen, use to play around the Decatur area in the 30's-50's. I inherited his 5-string,1926 Vega-Fairbanks-Whyte Lady Special with A 13" pot. It carrys A nice deep tone. I also play A Goldtone. Looking for other old-timey musicians in my area to get with. Old clawhammer and Contra music.
