stumbled upon 5 string banjo via tin whistle, then uilleann pipes, then tenor banjo then 5 string bluegrass, which led to 5 string frailing/. Being a lefty, always had trouble finding a decent quality banjo, so i had dave stacey make me a lefty neck for an old whyte laydie pot and just recently had James Bowan of griffin banjos make me a lefty ariel A banjo. Wish id discovered the joys of frailing years ago, but i`ve had an eventful journey getting here and know hundreds of Irish tunes when i`ve the skill to figure them out on the 5 string. I think Ken Perlman is smart as a carrot.
